We're trying out a new song Chris brought to the  table only a couple weeks ago.  It sounded pretty put together for the most part, so we're bringing it to the show tonight at the Make-Out Room. We'd love to hear what you think about it.

Here's what it sounds like:



We recorded this on Ross' blackberry during a practice. The weird in 'n out sin wave recording on a tinny little recording device actually kinda works. Ross likened it to being recorded under water with strep throat.

Since it was recorded in between the drums and the guitars, the drums sound like timpanis and the bass sounds like a didgeridoo. I think it sounds kinda cool, and it makes me want to try some effects when we get in the studio to record.

The show starts at 7:30 tonight, and we'll be playing with San Diego's Manouk.

Some useful joker posted us playing "Jodie" at Hotel Utah Sunday night. It was our first show in a while and we all had a great time. Everything went just peachy. It was great to see everyone together again.

Our set included a few new tunes we've been working on called Country Dark, Soul, and Dixie Queen (for now anyways). It marked Scott's first show after returning from a six-month trip two weeks prior. Denise made it official by showing off her ladylike presence in her second show as viola player. It rocked, as you could probably tell by watching her viola go in the lower right hand corner of the video above. Ross' gripe was that he is the only player whose head can be seen on the tiny stage. Sorry Ross. But look at his handsome mug. Ain't he cute?

The Utah staff were gracious hosts as usual, as were Whiteyonthemoon and Man/Miracle. Whiteyonthemoon provided the video accompaniment, which was very well received and much appreciated by us. Also as usual were the good times had by all. We're eager to play again and are thinking of maybe sneaking in a small show before the end of 2007. We are looking at arranging some larger shows in early 2008. Stay tuned...

With the addition of Denise Cho on viola, we have our first show since getting our EP finished. So, please come and have your ears ready for some new music. Of course we'll also be playing songs from our EP, Jodie, which will be for sale at the show for a measly $5. Tell your friends to come and join us at the Hotel Utah.
